The Stadt Aachen’s Musikschule resumes its face-to-face classes under strict hygiene regulations. Since Monday 15 March the instrumental/vocal main subject lessons in the headquarters on Blücherplatz will largely take place as face-to-face learning. As far as possible, lessons will also take place in the music school's branch offices. Group lessons will be given as individual lessons with appropriate time allotments or on a fortnightly basis. The respective teachers will inform the parents and students about the respective procedures. All elementary music courses and lessons in childcare centres are suspended until the Easter holidays.

The Stadtbibliothek (city library) in Couvenstraße is open from Tuesdays to Fridays from 10:00-17:30 for collections and returns. The staff can be reached by phone during this time for questions or to place an order. Via “Click and Collect", desired media or a surprise selection can be ordered. To support individual literature research for school, literature is also compiled for Facharbeiten (research papers) or presentations. The Stadtteilbibliotheken (district libraries) Depot and Haaren as well as most of the library branches are open according to plan. The Bücherbus (bookmobile) also runs with "Click and Collect". Digital services such as Onleihe or PressReader are still available. Also library card renewals or reissues is possible as before without face-to-face contact.

The Stadtarchiv’s (city archive) reading room is open as usual on Tuesdays from 13:00-17:00, Wednesdays from 9:00-17:00 and on Thursdays from 9:00-13:00.
