Architecture

After the bridge La Belle Liégeoise, realised by Bureau Greisch, what is the project that will win the next Les Prix de l’Architecture et de l’Urbanisme de la ville de Liège (Architecture and Urbanism Award)? Among the sixty projects presented, 39 projects were chosen: ten in the private urban planning category with a residential programme, eight in the private urban planning category with a non-residential programme, seven in the public urban planning category and 14 in the micro-architecture category. All projects illustrate the desire to implement good practices to improve the existing situation and boost the territory of Liège while developing the quality of life in the city. On 12 September, a judging panel made up of Belgian and international experts, chaired by the #Liège Alderman of Urbanism Christine Defraigne, nominated the winners among the four categories of the contest. A Grand Prize will be awarded to one of the candidates in the first three categories. The public is invited to decide to award the Public Prize in one of the four categories. The votes will begin on Monday, 16 September and end on Sunday 29 September at midnight.
