Crime

The Aachener Ordnungsamt (#Aachen municipal regulatory agency) found grounds to close two pubs in the city this week. In cooperation with the city municipality, the police controlled several pubs and hookah bars in a bid to uphold the youth, non-smother and hospitality law. Two of the controlled bars were such striking examples of violations against the law that the police immediately warranted their closure. In one of the establishments, three so-called bubbles of heroin were found, a clear case of a breach against the federal drug and medicine law. The police also found untaxed tobacco, which was delivered to the Aachen customs office.
