Design

During this year’s 43rd Europamarkt Aachen - Kunsthandwerk und Design (European craftsmanship and design market) in #Aachen, around 300 exhibitors showcased their craftworks and designs from a myriad of artistic areas: From woodcarvers and blacksmiths, to theatre puppet masters, brush makers, bow-and-arrow builders, interior designers, to metal wielders, creativity and design took over the Aachen city centre this past weekend. To concentrate the market on contributors’ craftsmanship, organiser Beate Amrehn “Formgebung” (form creation) of the Craftsmanship Academy Gut Rosenberg ensured that only a few gastronomical stands would be present during the event. Not just experienced professionals took this annual opportunity to connect with specialists from other industries, but students and apprentices equally presented their works on a professional level. This event was also used to scout and further develop design talents. Source: Aachener Zeitung Photo: dag/Dagmar Meyer-Roeger
