UCM (Union of the Middle Classes) has just released bankruptcy figures for the Province of #Liège and they are up sharply in the first half of 2019 compared to 2018. There have been 545 bankruptcies reported for the first six months of the year, an increase of 20.04% for the province. However, this situation is not abnormal compared to the national level, which reports an increase of 15%. The Huy district has the fewest bankruptcies 53 while in Liège there are 389. The hospitality sector most affected by these bankruptcies, followed by construction. However a new sector has emerged that is facing trouble, that of the liberal professions. 14 bankruptcies in the medical sector but also four lawyers and two tax advisers. Source: RTC Liège
