In most countries around the world WABA World Breastfeeding Week is 1-7 August, in Wallonia, (French-speaking Belgium) this event is held 1-7 October each year. On the occasion of Breastfeeding Week 2019, CHC Liège is offering a series of free activities centred around maternity and breastfeeding.

Clinique Saint Vincent strongly recommends breastfeeding. Obstetricians stress that breastfeeding remains the most natural way to feed your baby, allowing a strengthening of their immune system, as well as the mother / baby bond. It is the chosen way for up to 90% of new mothers. However this number seems to decrease after women return to the workplace one their maternity leave period has ended. To raise awareness, organised numerous activities to shine a light on this gesture.

Some of the activities planned include: • Baby massage • Mama massage • Carrying • Bathing • Rhythm, Sleep and Cries of the baby • Breastfeeding twins • Papa workshop • My life as a pregnant woman or new mother • Info session about breasfeeding

The activities are free but note that registration is required. Only phone registration is possible at: +32 (0)4 239 45 28.
