Komm An NRW: funding for voluntary organisations providing refugee assistance in StädteRegion Aachen
Updated: Jan 15
Komm An NRW: Funding for voluntary refugee assistance can now be applied for at the Kommunalen Integrationszentrum (Municipal Integration Centre).
For associations and other initiatives that work voluntarily to integrate refugees into our society, funding from the NRW state programme "KOMM-AN NRW" will also be available in 2021. Funding is available, for example, for the equipment and operation of "arrival meeting points" or the accompaniment of refugees in school and everyday life. Funding can also be provided for the qualification of voluntary helpers or measures that provide orientation for refugees.
Clubs, associations or initiatives wishing to apply for funding can send an application to the StädteRegion Aachen Kommunalen Integrationszentrum by 31 January 2021. In spring, a panel of judges will decide on the allocation of funds.
The state project KOMM-AN NRW has been in existence since 2016 and was established to support the diverse voluntary refugee assistance organisations. For 2021, the StädteRegion Kommunalen Integrationszentrum will again receive funding from the Ministeriums für Kinder, Familie, Flüchtlinge und Integration (Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees and Integration). As in previous years, the Kommunalen Integrationszentrum will forward the funds to selected applicants from the cities and municipalities. A total of 121,000 euros is available in the StädteRegion Aachen for 2021.
