NATO Brunssum implements Covid-19 rapid testing

Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), have already started Covid-19 rapid testing of essential personnel. During the first week around 100 personnel were tested. This enables staff to continue working within the headquarters over the festive period, ensuring that the base remains operational during the winter break.

The antigen test selected by JFCBS provides accurate results within a quarter of an hour and takes approximately 60 seconds to carry out.

Commander JFCBS General Jörg Vollmer, visited the testing area to speak with those conducting the tests and those being tested.

General Vollmer:

"Our personnel are vital to our ability to continue operating during these challenging times. Protecting the force remains one of my top priorities. This rapid testing ability displays our flexibility and enhances the measures we are already taking to protect our people."
