New head of Stadt Aachen Bürger*innendialog und Verwaltungsleitung
Dana Duikers is the new head of the city's Bürger*innendialog und Verwaltungsleitung (Citizens' Dialogue and Administrative Management).
Since the beginning of the year, Dana Duikers has been the head of Stadt Aachen's new Bürger*innendialog und Verwaltungsleitung and thus completes the team of Oberbürgermeisterin Sibylle Keupen. She succeeds Alexander Lohe, who retired at the end of last year. The 41-year-old graduate in administration and social science has been employed by Stadt Aachen since 2002 and was most recently deputy head of Fachbereichs Wohnen, Soziales und Integration (Department of Housing, Social Affairs and Integration).
The intensification of citizens dialogue and participation areas of participation are important focal points of her work and that of the Oberbürgermeisterin. Here, the transparency of administrative action is to be strengthened, new forms of dialogue with citizens are to be developed and the various participation formats of the city administration are to be optimised. However the classic tasks of the department, which is responsible for the Aachener Stadtrat, das Rathaus, protocol as well as for town twinning, equality and elections, among other things, are now also part of the official repertoire of the native of Aachen. In carrying out her new tasks, Dana Duikers will be supported by a well-coordinated team of about 30 employees.
