NL: Jeugdjournaal to hold children's press conference with Rutte and De Jonge
Dutch national children's news programme Jeugdjournaal has organised a press conference especially for children. Premier Rutte and Minister De Jonge will give a speech this evening, after which they will answer questions that have been sent in by children across the Netherlands. The conference will be held live in the same room as the 'normal' press conferences. Jeugdjournaal has received over 8000 questions from children so far.
Presenters Milou Stoop and Joris Marseille put some of these questions to the ministers. Eight children will also be present at the press conference.
"Children indicate that they are curious about how children are taken into account in the decisions, and for example when they can have a children's party again. Those are a lot of questions that relate to their own lives, like when they can play sports again, celebrate a birthday party or when they can really go back to school normally."
The children's press conference starts at 18:45 on NPO 3. It can also be followed live on the Jeugdjournaal app and on YouTube.
