ULiège to distribute 'paniers bio solidaires' filled with local and organic produce to students
Concerned about the well-being of its students, the University of Liège, in collaboration with the Ceinture Aliment-Terre Liégeoise, will offer free baskets of organic and local products to support students struggling to cope with everyday expenses.
The health situation we are experiencing is accompanied by a drop in income for some students. Aware of this reality, the University of Liège has joined forces with the Ceinture Aliment-Terre Liégeoise to distribute weekly solidarity baskets to ULiège students who are experiencing difficulties.
Distributed once a week during the months of February and March, these baskets consist of vegetables and fruit supplied by La Bourrache, a baguette or a packet of pasta from the Agribio cooperative, six eggs from the Ferme des Coudriers and Ethiquable chocolate.
ULiège hopes that this basket of products direct from local producers will bring students comforting and gourmet moments.
The basket is to be collected at the Campus de Liège centre-ville at the Bâtiment du 20-Août, at the back of the canteen.
Compliance with Covid-19 regulations will be ensured (wearing of masks, distancing, organisation of flows, disinfection of spaces, ventilation, etc.).
Another distribution point will also soon be organised on the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech campus. Keep an eye on ULiège's website for more information.
Distribution of baskets from 4 February 2021:
Thursday from 14:30 to 17:00
Friday from 10.30am to 12pm (within the limit of the baskets still available)
Presentation of the ULiège badge (with S identifier) is mandatory to collect a basket. One basket per student/week to be collected in person (no advance booking possible).
